With an innovative delivery program the heat-pump specialist WATERKOTTE, Herne, wants to increase its position in the business segment air/heat pumps. According to the own statements, the company currently holds with the speed control adjustable Zubadan and Power-Inverter-Principles a market share of approximately 2 to 3 %. This market share shall be increased rapidly up to 10 to 12 %.
WATERKOTTE expects the decisive support for the newly developed ventilation convectors which, in combination with the heat pump, function as climate control devices (AC). The program is immediately available. The radiator substitute is to be considered as decentral supplement to the Ai QL: The air/water-heat pump produces heat or cooling centrally, a water circulation system transports the temperatures to the convectors in the individual rooms and heat exchangers in the devices pass the heat or cooling energy on to the indoor air by means of power-efficient EC ventilators.
The Zubadan and Power-Inverter Technology are reversible, and thus applicable for the active cooling. For the distribution of the low-temperature circulating air there is, however, need for an adequate system. The underfloor heating is only suitable with compromises. Due to the risk of a drop below the dew point, one could only work with the underfloor heating in moderation. The climate convectors, however, allow outlet temperatures of up to 7 °C.
Measures regarding mechanical engineering (closed circular pipeline) guarantee the drainage of the condensate.
The assembly air/water heat pump plus air-conditioning convector is especially useful for retrofitting. For example in the case of officially decreed exchanges of night current storage heatings. The extremely quiet ventilators as well as the air entry are hardly noticeable in the living rooms. In the standard version the devices contain a nonwoven filter in the area of air supply or, optionally, an additional electrostatic filter which help those who suffer from allergies. This aspect supports implementation in new buildings.
In the commercial sector, new buildings as well as old buildings, the combination allows a fully adequate heating or cooling of the rooms. The Ai1 QL provides cold water even in high summer. According to WATERKOTTE, the use of their system enables the cooling of computers- and server rooms whose EDP is severely impaired by quasi-tropical conditions.
The package solution offered simplifies the installation work, and due to the allowed low temperature level, achieves a high efficiency. Neutrally carried out measurements, thus, confirm results which have been regarded as unimaginable so far for the heat source air: The Austrian KELAG (an energy supply company in Carinthia with the company RWE as co-partner), for example, caculated an annual coefficient of performance of 3.7, including drinking-water heating, for a newly constructed one-family house in Carinthia's cold pole Ossiach.
