Full feed-in or own consumption

You can either feed the entire produced energy into the grid or you can consume part of the generated energy on site, thus reducing the amount of energy supplied by the energy provider.  For each kilowatt hour used for own consumption, the system operator receives a bonus which - together with the fee for the kilowatt hour saved - results in an even greater overall advantage (This is the legal situation in Germany. If you are located outside Germany, please check the national subsidies for your country).
